Our love story
We first met in the Netherlands in the summer of 2021, when Adhi was on vacation with his friends. The moment we met, we knew it was love at the first sight. Our love has begun since then.
We have been dating in a long-distance relationship between Delft-Lausanne for more than a year, and finally, Adhi proposed to Vivi in May 2022. Despite all the ups and downs during the year, we decided that we want to take our relationship to the next level in 2023.
We are tremendously happy that we will get married on 29th April 2023 when both of us are 29 years old.

How will our wedding look like?
Tradition and dinner
We have three main events. Firstly, as Buddhists, we will have a holy matrimony ceremony at a Vihara (Buddhist's temple) in Bali.
Next, as we both have Chinese-Indonesian heritage in our family, we will arrange a teapai ceremony for the second event. It is a tradition for us as a newlywed to give gratitude towards our family.
Last but not least, we gratefully invite our beloved families & friends to have a special dinner together. We encourage our lovely guests to arrive on time so that you can enjoy all live music performances, dances, etc.
Why in Bali?
Bali is Adhi's hometown, where he was born and grew up.
It is a paradise island, people often say. You will find the richness of nature, culture, food, and hospitality on this island.
Must do in Bali
Adhi's version - local perspective
- Savor some local foods (ayam betutu, plecing kangkung, nasi campur, babi guling, sate ayam/babi, blayag, seafoods).
- Take a long walk throughout the beaches.
- Visit Karangasem.
Must do in Bali
Vivian's version - local tourist perspective
- UBUD for sure! Try to relax on one of the Yoga retreats or simply walk along the rice field (like Campuhan).
- Snorkelling in Nusa Penida.
- Eat the local dishes (bebek tepi sawah, sate lilit, ikan goreng, etc.).
Tips where to Stay
If you are new to Bali, we have some options for you:
- Short stay 3 days = you can choose place like Seminyak because it is close to Kuta, Legian, and easier to access south of Bali.
- Long stay = you can also try to stay in Sanur or Ubud because it is close to our wedding venue
